This year’s joint meeting of SWAAG and AGX will be held in the LBJ Student Center (LBJSC) at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. San Marcos, conveniently situated between San Antonio, TX and Austin, TX, offers easy access to both the San Antonio International Airport (45 miles away) and the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (32 miles away). Please note that traffic patterns can significantly impact travel times, particularly during peak hours, so it's advisable to plan your journey accordingly.

Conference Dates: 10/6/24 – 10/8/24 | For more details on the conference schedule, see the Conference Guide.
Sunday 10/6:
  • Two field trips will start mid-morning and run until the Welcome Reception
  • Welcome Reception at the LBJSC from 4pm-7pm
  • We may schedule a few sponsored panels or workshops on Sunday afternoon before the Welcome
  • Reception, but more on that soon.
Monday 10/7:
  • Full day of presentations/posters/panels (4-6 concurrent rooms + poster gallery)
  • Banquet luncheon in the Main Ballroom (included w/registration)
  • Dinner on your own in San Marcos
  • Evening GeoBowl Tournament & Pizza-Fest on campus Monday (included w/registration)
Tuesday 10/8:
  • Full day of presentations/posters/panels (4-6 concurrent rooms + poster gallery)
  • Lunch On Own; convenient on-campus food courts w/multiple options.
  • Awards Banquet in the Main Ballroom (included w/registration)
  • Student Awards and Conference Adjournment
