What is SWAAG?
The Southwest Division of the American Association of Geographers (SWAAG) is the regional division of the American Association of Geographers (AAG) that represents AAG members residing in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

The Division supports these objectives by organizing an annual meeting (held in October or November), distributing an annual newsletter, publishing a peer-reviewed journal (The Southwestern Geographer), and supporting annual student paper and poster competitions and awards.
