Call For Papers / Presentations
The Oklahoma State University Dept. of Geography and the University of Oklahoma Dept. of Geography and Env. Sustainability would like to welcome everyone to attend SWAAG 2021, to be held at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Downtown October 14-16, 2021. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the AAG initiative "Regions Connect" which will allow attendees to register to attend talks at the Applied Geography Conference as well as the NESTVAL, East Lakes/West Lakes, Pacific Coast, and Great Plains/Rocky Mountain regional meetings.
There will be a welcome reception Wednesday night at one of OKC's best bars, Social Capital, which has a wide selection of Oklahoma national craft breweries, with 120 taps. Paper sessions will be Thursday and Friday, with the Geography Bowl to be held Thursday night. Our keynote speaker will be Hans Butzer, Dean of the (OU) Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture, whose architectural firm designed the Oklahoma City National Memorial and has contributed greatly to the urban landscape of Oklahoma City.
There will also be two field trips on Saturday, October 16th. The first will be a walking trip to the Oklahoma City National Memorial with lunch on your own at the Bricktown Brewery. The other will take you to the Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum with stops at the famous Round Barn and the now-iconic Pops (https://www.pops66.com/) , where you can have lunch and enjoy a wide range of soda pops from around the country in a myriad of flavors.

Abstract Submission
1) After registration, go back and login to the AAG site and select your conference.
2) After logging in, you should see text between two lines asking if you are already registered and if so, click to access the submission portal. Click that and then you should see a menu on the left that indicates which "applications" are complete. Click on incomplete.
From there you will be prompted to enter the session type, the abstract and the rest of the information .
